Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I use Magento Superstage on my online store, what is it good for?

Magento Superstage provides a very new way of fancy product presentation within Magento shops in fullscreen mode. Your visitors will experience your products in a complete new and playful way by real high-resolution images that display your goods solid quality.

Why can't I scale up the images I have selected to be loaded within the Magento Superstage extension?

The images you use might be smaller than your current screen resolution. Images that don't overlap the screen resolution won't scale up any further than their original proportions, this is restricted for quality reasons.

How many images can I load with Magento Superstage at all?

There is no limit, but we recommend to load not more than 10 images within the extension. The more images you load on a product page, the longer it will take the Fullscreen button to be clickable for your customers.

Why is the Fullscreen button inactive, when I enter a website containing the extension?

The button is set inactive while the images are being loaded right from the Magento database. Usually it won't take longer than a few seconds with an average broadband connection.

Why can't I see the magnifier icon when I rollover an image?

Take a look at the second question above, the image is obviousely smaller than your screen resolution.

I have just implemented the Magento Superstage extension, now all my thumbnails are quite big - even the main image is large, so I cannot see the whole product. What can I do?

We recommend to replace the main image with an alternative perfect scaled one and we suggest further that you disable the thumbnail gallery as well as the Magento Zoom-Slider on your product page template.

I get an "Access Denied" on the Magento Superstage Configuration Page after installation.

Simply log-out from the Magento backend and log-in again. The Configuration Page should work now as intended.

The Magento Superstage extension doesn't show-up in the advanced panel on the configuration page after installation.

Just navigate to System » Cache Management and refresh all cache. This should do it.

I'm using dual monitors, if I open Magento Superstage on my second screen the displayed elements are obviousely displaced. What am I doing wrong?

Well, you're doing nothing wrong. This is a known bug regarding the flash player and the use of dual screens. We keep an eye on this.

Will the installation of Magento Superstage affect all my products?

Yes, the extension will be placed on every product that is visible within your frontend. That means, if there are images in the Media Gallery of a product, the Fullscreen button will appear automatically. You can disable the option manually, take a look at the next point.

I would like to upgrade my shop to high-resolution images step by step. Can I avoid, that Magento Superstage will affect all my products?

Yes, you can enable or disable the fullscreen button for each product. That way you can upgrade your store step by step to neat high-resolution images.

Why does the default image of a product not appear in fullscreen mode?

Make sure you didn't exclude the default image from your product's Media Gallery.

Can I switch into Fullscreen mode through clicking on a external link?

This is not possible because of Flash restrictions.
